Description of the profession ##

Production watchmakers AFC possess the necessary skills to assemble mechanical and electronic movements, as well as chronographs, and to precisely check and regulate their functioning and rate. They work in production workshops and guarantee high quality standards, identifying aesthetic defects, functional anomalies, and faults in the various production stages, identifying their causes. In production and in customer service, they also mount the hands and the dial and fix the movement inside the watch case. They perform functional checks of finished watches using various testing and measurement methods. Part of the simple tools and equipment necessary for the assembly of a movement or a case is created directly by them. Their field of activity therefore ranges from industrial production to collaboration in modern customer service.
