Fondazione Agire coordinates and enhances the action of all strategic actors of the Regional Innovation System (universities, institutions, economic organizations) with the objective of strengthening the innovation ecosystem, promoting the transfer of technology and knowledge between the main academic centers and companies and digitalization in SMEs. It supports the creation and international growth of startups and innovative companies thanks to programs and infrastructures such as Tecnopolo Ticino. Agire works in collaboration with the main cantonal and national organizations that provide coaching and mentoring services to promising startups and companies and collaborates closely with the local government in defining economic promotion policies. Agire is also the organizer of Boldbrain Startup Challenge (in collaboration with USI Startup Centre), an acceleration program aimed at early-stage startups www.boldbrain.ch and of Action Day, an educational day dedicated to innovation in SMEs www.actiondayagire.info

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a technical figure with experience, curiosity, and interest in innovation, capable of operating autonomously in two complementary areas. On one hand, they will be the operational reference for the management of the Foundation's IT systems and digital tools; on the other hand, they will collaborate with the SME team in accompanying companies on the themes of digitalization and artificial intelligence applied to business processes. The ideal person possesses an engineering, computer science, management, or equivalent background, and knows how to understand technical problems and organizational processes and succeeds in translating them into concrete and sustainable solutions.

Requirements

• Master or Bachelor in computer science, computer engineering, management engineering, information systems or equivalent degree;
• Professional experience of approximately at least 4 years in IT roles, digitalization, optimization of business processes, consulting or related fields;
• Good knowledge of corporate IT systems and infrastructures, user and device management, applications, networks, cloud services and cybersecurity principles;
• Ability to analyze and formalize business processes and to translate operational needs into possible digital solutions;
• Knowledge of the main applications of generative artificial intelligence and concrete interest in their use in SMEs;
• Ability to experiment with and evaluate new digital and AI tools, identifying their opportunities, limits and implementation requirements;
• Ability to coordinate suppliers and small technical-managerial projects, working autonomously within the assigned scope;
• Ability to work in a team, pragmatic approach, precision, reliability and good organizational skills. Propensity to listen to the needs of clients (SMEs)
• Preferential qualifications include experience in accompanying SMEs, in the digitalization of business processes, in the implementation of AI solutions or in conducting assessments, workshops and training activities.

Tasks

The main activities will be carried out transversally across the Foundation, with a double focus on internal IT management and on support to the activities of the SME team. In particular, the person will be involved in:

• Operational management of the Foundation's IT environment, accounts, devices, licenses and applications, in coordination with any external suppliers;
• Operational oversight of aspects relating to access, updates, backup, security and continuity of the main IT services;
• Analysis and optimization of internal digital processes and evaluation of new tools, including solutions based on artificial intelligence;
• Visits and meetings at SMEs in the territory to support the analysis of the state of digitalization and maturity regarding the adoption of AI;
• Scouting of technologies and digital solutions and support for the definition of innovation projects for SMEs;
• Development of new tools and methods to promote innovation and the conscious adoption of AI in companies;
• Support for the organization and implementation of workshops, events and dissemination activities on the themes of digitalization, innovation and artificial intelligence.
