Among these is DB Cargo Schweiz, based in Glattbrugg, which contributes to the development of the network, both in terms of service quality and volumes transported.

Driver Group Leader Bellinzona 80-100% (m/f/d)

Main tasks

• Manage and support a team of approximately 20 drivers at the Arbedo site
• Provide technical support to external personnel and ensure the correct execution of operational activities in stations and railway facilities
• Support employees in acquiring and developing the necessary knowledge and qualifications and in achieving the required objectives
• Conduct periodic interviews and, if necessary, targeted interviews with employees; perform control runs
• Certify the suitability of drivers for their respective job profiles
• Keep personnel skills up to date in the skills management system

Secondary tasks

• Contribute to personnel training, practical instructions, and controls, also regarding railway operation safety
• Select new drivers and manage their integration in collaboration with Human Resources
• Participate in the drafting of operational instructions and teaching materials
• Manage interventions during on-call service

Requirements

• Category B driver with authorization to drive in Switzerland and Italy and several years of experience in the railway sector
• Proven experience in personnel management and coordination
• Propensity to train employees and to be their point of reference
• Willingness to take on responsibility and new tasks
• Operational and decision-making autonomy, structured approach, and strong organizational skills
• Attitude toward teamwork with other sector managers
• Italian native speaker or equivalent knowledge (minimum level C1)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken German (minimum level B1) or willingness to learn it
