Librarian

The employer is looking for a:

Specialized Librarian (reported profession)

Duties:

• responsibility and management of the BDI collections, according to the directives of the Sistema Bibliotecario Ticinese (SBT)
• user service and advisory activities (Information Literacy)

Requirements:

• SUP specialist in training and documentation, cantonal librarian diploma or BBS or equivalent title
• adequate knowledge of the computerized cataloging procedures (Aleph) of the binary collections
• knowledge (conversation and writing) of a second official language
• experience in the management of antique book collections constitutes a preferential title
• interpersonal skills, service spirit
• predisposition to work both in a group and independently
• high precision and predisposition to order

Employment details:

• workplace Lugano - Breganzona
• employment 50%, 20 hours weekly
• employment start from 01.01.2027, fixed-term until 31.12.2027
• salary to be agreed upon
