Social Educator

The employer is looking for a:

Social worker (reported profession)

Tasks:

• offer specific educational support to minors according to their age and development
• support foster and non-foster parents in their parental role
• develop individualized educational projects
• write daily notes and official reports on the progress of visitation rights
• manage the scheduling of visitation rights
• ensure collaboration and good communication with the institutional network
• promote internal collaboration and communication with the team and reference figures
• participate in team meetings, supervisions and internal training
• organize and ensure adequate management of spaces, premises, systems and equipment

Requirements:

• academic training (bachelor or master) in the social, psychological, pedagogical field or equivalent qualification
• knowledge of the psycho-pedagogical and/or socio-educational sector
• excellent relational, communicative and listening skills
• ability to develop educational projects
• aptitude for independent and group work
• motivation, dynamism and operational flexibility
• reliability, responsibility and decision-making skills
• good knowledge of the Ticino territory and the functioning of the institutional network
• knowledge and competence in the use of computer programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• perfect command of Italian; knowledge of the German language is welcome
• Swiss citizenship or permit C or B

Employment details:

• workplace Muralto
• workload percentage: 50%
• start date: expected soon, date to be agreed upon
• salary class: according to the requirements recognized by the DSS
• working conditions according to the collective labor agreement (CCL) for personnel employed in social institutions of the Canton of Ticino
