Head of Hospitality and Housekeeping

The employer is looking for a:

Hospitality Manager (reported profession)

Tasks:

• head of the Bistrò (kitchen and service) and the housekeeping department
• management and development of employees in both departments, with active support
• planning and control of work schedules (Polypoint)
• guarantee of Tertianum quality standards
• preparation and presentation of meals according to recipe, for all types of diets and for preferences
• welcoming residents, family members and guests, with a recurring program of events and animation
• purchasing, storage and cost control in compliance with assigned budgets
• compliance with cantonal hygiene regulations, workplace safety and the HACCP concept
• correct invoicing of additional services to residents

Requirements:

• AFC cook's diploma; a federal professional certificate is a preferred qualification
• experience in staff management, minimum 3 years
• excellent knowledge of Ticinese and Mediterranean cuisine, creativity in the kitchen
• knowledge of housekeeping processes is a preferred requirement
• solid skills in cost and budget management
• proficiency with IT tools and industry-specific systems (TCPOS, Polypoint)
• excellent knowledge of the Italian language and good knowledge of another national language, preferably German
• flexibility and willingness to work actively in the kitchen and in the dining room
