Tasks ##

  • Monitor the educational progress of young individuals using a database.
  • Engage and support youth who left the educational system without a diploma.
  • Develop and oversee individual training projects for youth aged 16-25.

Skills ##

  • Bachelor's degree in social pedagogy or a related field required.
  • Strong project management and teamwork skills are essential.

Class and annual salary (including 13th month):

7 73'556.-- / 116'071.--

Tasks:

  • monitor the progress of each young person in fulfilling the training obligation using a database and IT tools for case management
  • engage and take charge of young people who have left the training system without obtaining a secondary II diploma
  • set up, develop and oversee the implementation of individual training projects for young people (16-25 years) in collaboration with other cantonal bodies and offices, including individual coaching activities to stimulate personal initiative, motivate and support young adults to start or resume training leading to a secondary II diploma
  • activate and coordinate measures to address the specific needs of young adults after assessing needs and defining intervention priorities in social and training fields
  • provide support and advice to young people in choosing training, searching for internships and apprenticeships, and accompany them during training, in collaboration with other bodies and offices (for example, cooperate with training, social and URC operators)
  • collaborate with the section, division and department to achieve objectives related to fulfilling the training obligation
  • prepare reports and statistics for the section
  • manage a database

Requirements:

  • academic or professional university-level education (bachelor level) in pedagogical/didactic, social or economic fields or equivalent qualification
  • professional experience in social work and supporting young adults in disrupted training pathways
  • ability to work independently and manage projects with a collaborative spirit, willingness to work outside office hours, team working skills, management of small work groups
  • knowledge of the social services network and socio-professional integration in Ticino and the cantonal and Swiss training system
  • strong social sensitivity, aptitude for intercultural relations
  • excellent knowledge (speaking and writing) of Italian and good knowledge of at least one other official language and main IT programmes

Special remarks:

  • appointment under art. 15 and 16 LORD of fixed duration until 31 December 2029

Employment conditions:

  • working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment rate), flexible or according to service needs
