Social worker

The employer is looking for a:

Social worker for the Servizio MigrAzione (reported profession)

Tasks:

• global assessment of the user's needs;
• handling of all administrative procedures regarding requests for financial assistance, the renewal of permits, the management of health insurance;
• management of procedures connected to the rental of the accommodation intended for the user;
• accompanying the user in their relationships with healthcare providers, the cantonal and municipal health and social network, with particular regard to problematic cases;
• accompanying minors in school integration, in collaboration with the responsible institutions, and young adults and adults in the appropriate educational and professional path;
• accompanying adults in the social integration process based on individual needs and possibilities

Requirements:

• UAS training in the social field (preferred qualification) or academic in related fields
• solid and proven experience in the field of social accompaniment (minimum 12 months) and in handling administrative procedures in favor of assisted persons; previous experience in the migration field constitutes a preferred qualification
• excellent and proven knowledge of the cantonal and municipal social network, public and private services, and the territory
• strong social sensitivity, predisposition to intercultural relationships
• ability to work independently and in a group
• resistance to stressful situations and heavy workloads, determination and tenacity
• speed, precision, accuracy in work
• good knowledge of at least one second national language
• good knowledge of the main computer programs; knowledge of the Tutoris application constitutes a preferred qualification

Employment details:

• work location Lugano
• 60% employment
• employment from 01.01.2027, permanent
• salary remuneration based on the CCL of the sector
